Do your smile lines make you look older than you feel? Are you proud of your smile lines, but not-so-proud of how they add on years to your appearance?

Restylane for Smile Lines

At Ageless Beauty Center in Okemos, MI, we use Restylane injectables to smooth away the appearance of smile lines and nasolabial folds between the nose and corners of the mouth.

Here’s how it works: Restylane contains a unique hyaluronic acid gel, which is designed to add subtle lift at the injection site while improving collagen production. The hyaluronic acid gel acts as scaffolding, which helps smooth away deep folds and lines that form around the nose and mouth.

Restylane has two products designated for the treatment for smile lines: Restylane Defyne and Restylane Refyne. Both fillers help smooth away smile lines; however, Restylane Defyne is designed for moderate to severe folds, while Restylane Refyne is better suited for light to moderate smile lines.

What to Expect from Your Restylane Treatment

Your Restylane injection will take about 15 to 20 minutes to perform; about 20 minutes before the treatment, your smile lines will be iced to help make you more comfortable during the injection process.

You should expect to start seeing Restylane results about two to three days after your injection, with final results visible about one to two weeks later. Results from your Restylane treatment may last six to nine months.
