Halo By Sciton
Get your Halo treatments from the experts. Ageless Beauty was the first to introduce the Mid-Michigan area to the Halo laser and has been helping people get that Halo Glow since 2012!
What It Is
The Halo is a highly-customizable laser treatment that tackles visible signs of aging, sun-damage, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Halo is the first of its kind to use both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths allowing patients to achieve optimal results with minimal downtime.
The hybrid fractional laser uses ablative wavelengths to gently exfoliate the topmost layers of the skin while non-ablative techniques create micro thermal injuries to the deeper layers. Your body’s natural self-healing process is triggered increasing beneficial collagen and elastin production.
Are Halo Laser Treatments Painful?
A topical numbing cream is applied approximately 30-minutes prior to your treatment to maximize comfort. Halo laser treatments also utilize an integrated cooling technology throughout to keep pain at bay. You may experience a warming sensation (similar to that of a sunburn) for several hours post-treatment. Any discomfort can easily be managed with ice packs and/or over-the-counter medication.
What Results Can I Expect?*
Immediately following your treatment, you may see an initial ‘glow’ to your skin. However, it can take several days for dead skin cells to flake away revealing the younger, healthier-looking skin beneath. Continued improvement will gradually occur several weeks or months following your treatment. During this time, you’ll see fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation issues slowly melt away.
*Individual results may vary.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of treatments you’ll need is based on your ultimate goals. In many cases, men and women are happy with just one Halo laser treatment. Some patients may need upwards of 3-treatments spread 6-8 weeks apart to meet their optimal outcome. Once desired results are achieved, many patients report positive results even years after their Halo session.
What Is The Recovery Time?*
Halo laser treatments give patients the best of both worlds. Because the procedure uses both ablative and non-ablative energy, downtime is about half that of traditional lasers. For the first 24-hours, you’ll be asked to maintain a special skincare regime. However, the majority of patients are able to return to normal activities and apply makeup the day after treatment.
Depending on the severity of your aesthetic concerns and the depth of laser you’ve chosen, you may experience redness or swelling in the mid-face for up to 48-hours. For more severe cosmetic conditions redness, peeling, and swelling can occur 5-7 days following your appointment.
