Have you noticed dark spots or brown spots on your hands and face? This is called hyperpigmentation and can be difficult to treat with topical solutions, creams, or other skin treatments.

We have your solution for your hyperpigmentation! The skin experts at Ageless Beauty were the first to introduce the Mid-Michigan area to the renowned Halo laser to help patients improve their skin and complexion, including treating hyperpigmentation.

Halo: A New Treatment Option for Hyperpigmentation

The Halo Laser is regarded as an excellent non-surgical treatment for hyperpigmentation because it targets the appearance of pigmented lesions against your skin tone.

Halo is so effective against hyperpigmentation because it takes a two-pronged approach:

  1. Ablative wavelengths help exfoliate the top layer of your skin, which removes the most surface-level hyperpigmentation within your complexion; and
  2. Non-ablative wavelengths create microchannels deep within the dermis to encourage rapid cellular turnover, which works on fading your deepest and oldest pigmented lesions.

Halo is the first of its kind to use both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths allowing patients to achieve optimal results with minimal downtime.

Consultations Are Available Now

The first step towards finding resolution for your hyperpigmentation is to come in for an in-person consultation with Darlene at Ageless Beauty Center. Please fill out the form on this page and one of our trusted staff members will reach out to you promptly to schedule your appointment.

 Are Halo Treatments Painful?

Halo treatments aren’t painful, although some clients might find them slightly uncomfortable. A topical numbing cream is applied approximately 30-minutes prior to your hyperpigmentation treatment to maximize comfort. Halo laser treatments also utilize an integrated cooling technology throughout to keep pain at bay.

You may experience a warming sensation (similar to that of a sunburn) for several hours post-treatment. Any discomfort can easily be managed with ice packs and/or over-the-counter medication.

What Results Can I Expect?

Immediately following your treatment, you may see an initial ‘glow’ to your skin, which may make your hyperpigmentation look a bit more faded. Over the course of a few days, your skin will begin to flake away, helping to permanently reduce the look of pigmented lesions.

Continued improvement will gradually occur several weeks or months following your treatment. To maintain your results, wear sunscreen with a high SPF, as this prevents the formation of new hyperpigmentation.
