Do You Have Sun Damaged Skin?

Have you noticed brown spots and freckles on your hands and face? This is usually a sign of sun damage, which occurs when you leave skin exposed to the sun’s harmful UV rays over a period of time. What’s more, these brown spots and freckles are tough to fade with over-the-counter creams and serums.

We have your solution for sun damage! The skin experts at Ageless Beauty were the first to introduce the Mid-Michigan area to the renowned Halo laser to help patients improve their skin and complexion, including treating sun damage.

Halo Laser Treatments improve skin tone and texture.

Halo: A New Treatment Option for Sun Damage

The Halo Laser is being touted as a great non-surgical treatment option for sun damage precisely because it directly targets pigmented damage against the complexion.

Halo works by taking a two-pronged approach: Ablative wavelengths help gently exfoliate and remove the topmost layer of the skin which helps immediately fade sun damage. At the same time, non-ablative lasers create microchannels deep within the dermis to encourage collagen production, which increases the cellular turnover that’s needed to fade the look of sun damage.

Consultations Are Available Now

The first step towards finding resolution for your sun damaged skin is to come in for an in-person consultation with Darlene at Ageless Beauty Center. Please fill out the form on this page and one of our trusted staff members will reach out to you promptly to schedule your appointment.

Are Halo Treatments Painful?

Halo treatments aren’t painful, although some clients might find them slightly uncomfortable. We can apply a topical numbing cream about 30 minutes prior to your procedure to help maintain your comfort. Additionally, Halo laser treatments also utilize an integrated cooling technology throughout to keep pain at bay.

You may experience a warming sensation (similar to that of a sunburn) for several hours post-treatment. Any discomfort can easily be managed with ice packs and/or over-the-counter medication.

What Results Can I Expect?

Over the course of a few days after your treatment, your skin will begin to flake away, which means your sun damage is starting to fade away. Continued improvement will gradually occur several weeks or months following your treatment, depending on how many treatments you decide to undergo for your sun damage.
